
Children at Newfield Park Primary Academy welcomed Alex Ballinger MP for Halesowen, for a special visit where he shared insights into parliamentary life and answered pupils’ thoughtful questions.
In a special assembly, the MP spoke to pupils across Key Stage 2 about his role in government, the importance of civic engagement and work on behalf of the Halesowen community. The session offered pupils a valuable glimpse into how democracy functions and inspired the, to consider their roles as active citizens.
Following his talk, pupils posed a series of well-considered questions, covering topics from local issues to wider national policy. The MP praised pupils’ curiosity and was impressed by the maturity behind their inquiries.
